For most of my adult life I have been fighting with a tummy bulge that just wouldn’t go away. Having a c-section many years ago and then having a hysterectomy in Feb. 06 just compounded the problem. I went to a gym and even martial arts but nothing seemed to flatten the gut. It wasn’t until I got hooked on the plastic surgery reality television shows where they would perform a procedure called an abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) that I decided to look into what was involved and to start saving up for this procedure. I asked around for a recommendation for a plastic surgeon and the consensus was always Dr. Jill Hazen. At that point I decided to call. From the very first phone call I was pleasantly surprised how comforting the voice on the other end of the phone was. I made an appointment for the following week for an initial consultation. When I arrived at the office, everyone was so nice and reassuring that I was doing the right thing. After meeting with Dr. Hazen I felt very comfortable and knew right away that I made the right choice. I met with Suzanne who guided me in the decision process of what was to be done, the price and the date of the surgery. To my surprise, everything went exceptionally smooth. When you’re making a big decision such as plastic surgery, there are some doubts that go through your mind however the entire staff is behind you, helping you through the transition. I had my surgery on Aug. 18th, 2006. Obviously there is some discomfort however after seeing some of the results almost immediately, the pain becomes more bearable. It is now three weeks post-op and I couldn’t be happier. I can’t believe that I was able to attain, finally, a flat belly that before was only something that I dreamed about. If I had to go through it again I would. I wanted it for myself, to look better for myself and to increase my self-esteem. I will no longer have to cover up a flabby belly!
