    What is Ellacor?

    The ellacor® System is a first-of-its-kind technology for treating wrinkles and skin laxity in the mid and lower face. ellacor® is unlike other modalities in that it is not a microneedling or energy-based device. Using patented hollow needles, ellacor® removes micro-cores of excess tissue without causing trauma or scarring to the superficial skin.     Does ellacor® use laser, radiofrequency, or ultrasound energy?

    How is ellacor® different from microneedling?

    Microneedling uses tiny needles to create controlled injury, but the tissue is temporarily displaced, not removed. ellacor® with Micro-Coring™ Technology is the first device to remove the skin on the micro-scale for more comprehensive wrinkle reduction.

    Can I receive ellacor® if I have a darker skin tone?

    Because darker skin tones (Fitzpatrick V and VI) may react differently to aesthetic treatments than lighter tones (Fitzpatrick I-IV), a separate clinical study is needed to evaluate the proper protocols for using ellacor® on darker tones.
